Let your life be the Invitation
As members of the Argyle Ward, we rise to the Prophet’s call by rededicating our lives to Jesus Christ—becoming His devoted disciples, helping to gather scattered Israel, and preparing the world for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a Ward Family of Faith Focused on Jesus Christ

The Prophet's Call
President Russell M. Nelson said “The best is yet to come because the Savior is coming again!” (Oct. 2024) He invited all members—himself included—to prepare for the Second Coming by making discipleship their highest priority.
In January 2017, during a worldwide devotional for young adults, President Russell M. Nelson issued a powerful invitation: consecrate a portion of your weekly time to "study everything Jesus said and did" as recorded in the scriptures—Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine & Covenants—using the “Jesus Christ” topical guide as your personal core curriculum. In April 2017 General Conference, he shared that he himself had completed the assignment—reading and underlining over 2,200 references—and declared, “When I finished that exciting exercise … I am a different man!” This simple yet profound weekly practice reshaped his devotion, strengthened his discipleship, and deepened his capacity to feel the Savior's love and apply His teachings in daily life.
Rededication Blueprint:
-
Talk of Christ — share His love and message.
-
Testify — strengthen your connection through personal testimony.
-
Have faith & rejoice — trust and find joy in Him.
-
Gather Israel — invite, include, serve, and build Zion.
-
Temple worship — attend regularly to access spiritual protection and revelation.
-
Deepen Atonement understanding — through weekly study of conference messages and scriptural texts.
-
Speak of Christ
“And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies...” (2 Nephi 25:26)
Testify of Christ
“...to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places...” (Mosiah 18:9)
Rejoice in His Name
“...I will rejoice in my God... for in his strength I can do all things...” (Alma 26:11-13)
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” (Philippians 4:4)
“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy...” (Psalm 5:11)

Help Gather Scattered Israel through Everyday Discipleship
Seven Touches - One touch at a time. One heart at a time. Let your life be the first invitation. Light leads. Love invites. Truth follows.
Action: Built on principles of “7+ Touches”, this initiative helps members of the Argyle Ward share the gospel in natural, loving, and consistent ways. Each interaction—no matter how small—can be a vital step in leading someone to Christ. Inspired by missionary insights and Preach My Gospel, it often takes seven or more sincere interactions before someone is open to learning more. It also draws on D&C 123:12–17, reminding us that many “are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it.”
What Counts?: As Elder Holland teaches, "It all counts"(!) The Church General Handbook states: "Often, inviting simply means including our family, friends, and neighbors in what we are already doing. For example, we can invite them to: - Join us in our homes for activities. Join us for worship and gospel learning. Attend special events, such as a baby blessing or baptism. Participate in ward and community activities or service, including projects organized through JustServe.org (where available).Participate in Church programs and activities. These could include Primary activities, youth activities, family history, self-reliance courses, BYU–Pathway Worldwide, and literacy and English courses."
