The inaugural meeting of the Argyle Forever Young group was held at the home of David and Shelly Senior, launching with a lively game of Evolution that saw participants progress from amoebas to chickens to monkeys to humans. Kristen Lowe became our “fully evolved” winner and graciously offered the opening prayer. A wonderful meal followed, after which a round of To Tell the Truth revealed remarkable facts about our seasoned ward members—including having 29 great-grandchildren, interpreting interpretive dance, and sacred temple experiences. We had a super fun time and loved being together and getting to know one another. The group officially adopted the name Argyle Forever Young, narrowly edging out “Fellowship of the Gray,” and Kelli Thornhill created the logo displayed below. The evening concluded with ice cream and a heartfelt sharing of personal gratitudes. The next AFY gathering will be held January 12th at the Senior home, featuring stories and insights from missionary service in Thailand. All are invited!
